Overall Patient Rating
4.8 out of 5 stars - 53 total ratingsKarin started her career working in Surgery and Otolaryngology before becoming a nurse practitioner. “I knew my first week in medicine this was what I wanted to do,” she explains. “Along the way my mentors have supported, encouraged and taught me, and helped me become the caregiver I am now.”
Karin enjoys working in Family Medicine because she enjoys teaching patients and helping them learn about preventative care. Karin believes patients shouldn’t visit primary care without leaving with some beneficial information. “I strive to work with patients and families to identify ways they can successfully meet their goals, while understanding their specific needs and limitations,” she explains. “I believe in focusing on positive reinforcement in the smallest of accomplishments. I want people to think about their health and not focus on feeling that they are sick or ill. I work hard to partner with my patients in their care and provide the information they need and work to find manageable ways they can make positive changes in their health.”
When she is not busy with patients Karin enjoys being outside and loves to go paddleboarding during the warmer weather. She also enjoys exploring New England and being with family and friends.
Star ratings are based on patient responses to 5 questions about the care they have received from their provider. Responses are measured on a scale of 1-5 and the average score is displayed in an easy to view, 5-star format. Learn more about how we measure our patient experience.
